With the aim of fully propagating and implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, on May 25th, 2018, a delegation which was organized by the party committee of School of Microelectronics took time to visit the Xiongan New Area. The research theme is “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind.”

The Xiongan New Area is a state-level development in Baoding, Hebei, China, which was established on April 1st, 2017, covering the counties of Xiong, Rongcheng and Anxin. The new area would essentially be a sub-capital city to which Beijing’s capital non-core functions will be shifted. The construction of this area is described as a grand “strategy crucial for a millennium to come”.

At the beginning of the trip, the delegation visited the Zhao Bo Memorial where an impressive lecture was given by Zhao Bo’s son, about the great accomplishments achieved by ‘Yanling Team’during the counter-Japanese War. The delegation went to the media center in County Rongcheng, to get an overall understanding of the construction and development plan of Xiongan New Area. At the end of the trip, the delegation walked along the trestle road Chairman Xi Jinping once walked and experienced the great blueprint in person.

This activity, was a great opportunity for the delegation to see the real Xiongan and understand the great planning layout in this area, which has given rise to heated discussions among participants in Tianjin University. The Microelectronics industry, will bear the mission of innovation of science and technology through hard work to contribute to the development of the country.
