On May 27, the 2nd China University Scientific and Technological Achievements Fair (CUSTAF) Award Ceremony was held in Huizhou city, Guangdong Province.
Tianjin University’s in-orbit brain-computer interaction system won a Special Gold Award, which was especially appreciated by the Organizing Committee of the exhibition of CUSTAF. Furthermore, Tianjin University won 6 awards as a group, including the Excellent Project Exhibition Award, the Outstanding Organization Award and the Trade Cooperation Award.
Luo Fangshu, Director of the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education, Liu Hongbin, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education, Li Xudong, Deputy Director of Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, among other leaders of the Guangdong Government and Huizhou Municipal Government attended the Fair.
There were 10 Special Gold Awards, 80 Excellent Project Exhibition Awards, 10 Best Road Show Awards, 80 Trade Cooperation Awards, 80 Outstanding Organization Awards, 75 Advanced Individual Awards and 75 Excellent Service Awards.
Under the theme of “Promoting deep collaboration between industry and the university, and innovation, for win-win development”, ten scientific and technological achievements of Tianjin University were displayed at CUSTAF. The achievements included synthetic eukaryotic chromosome rearrangements, key technology and engineering applications of high-speed parallel robots, in-orbit brain-computer interaction and mental load, visual function and other functional ergonomic test systems, hybrid fiber optic sensing technology and its applications in engineering safety monitoring, and poly-generation key techniques and equipment for clean gasification and pyrolysis of agricultural and forestry waste. The in-orbit brain-computer interaction system was displayed in the lobby. All these achievements were appreciated by enterprises and universities.
The iron-based amorphous alloy electromagnetic shielding materials team at the School of Materials Science and Engineering also participated in the "100 key projects" road show. During the Fair, Tianjin University signed an intention agreement with Kingbali New Material (Huizhou) Co. Ltd. Tianjin University also signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education to be one of the first batch of universities entering “Tonghu · Universities Innovation Park”. It is striving to make the Park a platform for the commercialization and trade of the scientific and technological achievements of universities and a gathering area for innovative and entrepreneurial talent to promote national economic development.
