Recently, the eighth track and field sports meet of the Qiushi Honors College was held in Peiyang Campus, and all the students of Grade 2017 actively participated. At the opening ceremony, a phalanx of students from nine classes of 2017 entered the arena with the impassioned "Athlete march". "I was lucky enough to participate in the three-kilometer running race at the school sports meet a while ago, and I was worried and anxious. When I really stood on the runway, the only goal in my mind was to finish the game. When I reached the finish line, there were many people cheering for me. I understand more about the health and happiness, passion and sunshine that sports brought me then.” Jin Dianyi from class two of Chemical Materials Grade 2017, who achieved outstanding results in the women's three-kilometer running race of the 55th sports meet of our school said, speaking as the representative of the athletes.

In the sports field, the athletes throw themselves into the competition with full enthusiasm and good sportsmanship. Liu Jinqiu’s classmates participated in the women's 200 meters, 400 meters and 4x100m relay competitions. Yao Tao challenges himself and leaps to new heights in the high jump.
The Tug-of-war competition was the climax of the sports meet. In the tug-of-war competition between mechanical engineering and chemical materials in 2017 the mechanical engineering students shouted their slogans and worked hard together. When the game was difficult to distinguish between victory and defeat, both teams persisted and resolutely refused to give up. Eventually, the mechanical engineering students turned the tide of the competition. Both the players on the field and the cheerleaders were full of spirit, and they used their own sweat to interpret the spirit of teamwork and perseverance for us.
