On June 29, the National Architectural Education Evaluation Committee announced that Tianjin University Architecture Program for 5-year undergraduate and postgraduate students passed the assessment with a validity period of 7 years from 2018 to 2025.

The expert evaluation group, commissioned by the National Architectural Education Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, conducted a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of the architecture major at Tianjin University. It reported that the Tianjin University School of Architecture has an excellent team of teachers and supervisors. The school is committed to the philosophy of cultivating leading talent for the architectural industry and to the continuous improvement of undergraduate and postgraduate training systems. By doing so, it has formed distinctive features in teaching. For instance, the continuous exploration of the "comprehensive design + special research" teaching module in undergraduate teaching has achieved fruitful results. Students of the School of Architecture have a profound love for their majors with solid basic knowledge and active minds. The experts also agreed that the TJU School of Architecture possesses excellent teaching ability for undergraduates and postgraduates and the students are equipped with comprehensive professional ability and are widely praised by the industry.

This architectural professional assessment received great attention and strong support from the school’s leadership and related functional departments.
