The Final of the 2018 National College Student Chemical Engineering Experiment Competition was held at the East China University of Science and Technology from August 12 to August 14. Tianjin University students Fang Tiantian, Chen Qiang and Liu Huibin supervised by Hu Tongyu, Jiang Feng and Fan Jiangyang from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology won the championship with first place in the grand prizes (the top prize). Tianjin University has won the top prize in the competition last year.

National College Student Chemical Engineering Experiment Competition was founded in May 2017. The competition is held annually. In the competition this year, 64 teams from 375 teams of 258 universities entered the final. The 3rd National Undergraduate Chemical Experiment Competition will be held at the Dalian University of Technology in August, 2019.
