Georgia Tech Tianjin University Shenzhen Institute Signs a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Shenzhen Mahong Foundation

Recently, with the aim of together creating the 2018 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area Innovation and Development Summit, the Georgia Tech Tianjin University Shenzhen Institute signed a strategic partnership agreement with Shenzhen Mahong Foundation for economic research and development. 

The Agreement on Cooperative Education in Shenzhen was officially signed by Shenzhen, Tianjin University and Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016. As equal partners, Tianjin University and Georgia Institute of Technology run the school together. Georgia Institute of Technology in Shenzhen brings in advanced models of education and high quality education resources . It brings superior resources in engineer education to China through Tianjin University, and develops undergraduate, master and doctoral degree education based on top-ranking environments provided by new high-tech enterprises and cutting-edge technology industries. 

At the signing ceremony, Yuan Yuan, the Deputy Director of the Preparation Office for the Institute, said that the Institute will take full advantage of talented people, disciplinary majors and scientific innovation, powerfully combine the ranks of intelligent people and contribute to the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong -Macao Great Bay Area as well as the development of their local economies.  

In his closing statements, Li Luoli, the Director of the Shenzhen Mahong Foundation, said that they are willing to reach strategic partnerships with all parties, integrate the resources in each of their fields of expertise and build up long-term partnerships in innovative research, project development, intelligent resources sharing, and the Bay Area construction. He said they would establish an alliance for common development and accelerate the mutually beneficial cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
