Tianjin University established its Medical College in April, 2018. The university was the first in China to be approved to establish a medical undergraduate major in the direction of Intelligence, with the Medical Science and Engineering School in the Medical College providing education resources. Zhong Denghua, the President of Tianjin University, while meeting with Andy Burham said, “Science is a common course of humanity. As the scientific research becomes more complex and scale-demanding with epochal characteristics, it is natural and necessary to have international exchange and cooperation in science and technology. Facing the challenges that AI poses on the future of human beings, Tianjin University has always upheld the mission of strengthening the country by improving education and forged win-win partnerships with universities at home and abroad. We are trying to develop AI technology in the hope of providing Chinese wisdom and a Chinese solution for improving the world’s intelligent medical technology and industry.

During the visit, the two sides jointly held a high-end forum on intelligent medical education and industry between China and the UK.
