The 4th China Judicial Forum held in Tianjin University

Recently, the 4th China Judicial Forum was successfully held in Tianjin University, Tianjin. This forum was co-organized by the Judicial Branch of the China Behavior Law Association and law School of Tianjin University. People from the Judicial Branch of the China Behavior Law Association, the Politics and Law Committee of Tianjin’s Municipal Government, the Tianjin People's Procuratorate, Tianjin High People's Court, Tianjin University, etc., attended the forum and delivered speeches.

Mr. Su Zelin, chairman of the Judicial Branch of the China Behavior Law Association and Member of the Standing Committee of 12th National People's Congress, attended the forum and delivered opening remarks. Mr. Yuan Yingjin, vice president of Tianjin University and member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, delivered a speech on faculty construction and research development of Tianjin University Law School. There followed Zu Wenguang, deputy secretary of the Politics and Law Committee of Tianjin’s Municipal Government, who pointed out that the political-legal organs of Tianjin’s Municipal People's Government have actively promoted related reforms with good results. Gong Ming and Cai Zhiping introduced the reforms of the procuratorial organ and the adjudication organ in Tianjin respectively from their standpoints. Sun Youhai, dean of the Tianjin University Law School, made a brief description on the forty years' reform process and some remarkable achievements since the reform and opening-up policy.

It is agreed that judicial reform shall be continued and promoted in China. The forum brought the attending guests together to discuss on the Outlook and Review on Chinese judicial reform, Effectiveness Evaluation and Basic Experience since the judicial reform, and Improvement of Judicial Responsibility System under the background of comprehensive judicial system reform. More than 20 legal scholars have actively expressed their views and opinions.

More than 100 experts and scholars from courts, procuratorates, public security departments, nationally renowned law firms and law schools have participated in the forum. This year’s forum gained numerous research findings and continued the past three years' glory.
