On October 24, 2018, under the framework of "China-ASEAN Smart Ocean Center", the closing ceremony of “Ocean Education College International Student Innovation Course Program” sponsored by School of Marine Science and Technology, Tianjin University and the summary report of this program was held in Room 319, Building No.8. Dean of the school of marine Zhai Jingsheng, Party Secretary, Ling Guowei, deputy party secretary, He Liqian, vice dean Wang Jun and Gong Le, director of the department of Marine technology Zhang Anmin and mamy teachers and students from the school attended the summary meeting and closing ceremony.
At the summary meeting, eight students from the universities of Indonesia were divided into four groups and showed what they had learned in detail and expressed their learning experience. The judges commented on the students' reports and interacted with the students. Finally, Zhang Anmin made a summary speech and commended the students' studies and conscientious attitude. The following closing ceremony was presided by Gong Le. First, everyone reviewed the whole process of this program through short video. Then, the leaders of Marine School awarded the program completion certificate and excellent student certificate for each student. Wang Jun gave a concluding speech. In her speech, she hoped that students could apply what they learned from this training to their future study and life, and keep in touch with Chinese classmates and teachers for more in-depth study and communication.
At this point, "Ocean Education College International Student Innovation Course Program " was concluded successfully. In these ten days, students attended three marine cognitive courses, five multidisciplinary marine frontier technology theory courses and experiment courses. They visited and practiced in the National Ocean Technology Center, National Ocean Information Center, Tianjin Maritime Surveying and Mapping Center and Tianjin Port. Besides, they had comprehended Tianjin traditional culture through visited the scenic spots in Tianjin and listened to the lecture of Chinese history and culture.
The short training time impressed Indonesian students with Tianjin University and China deeply and had reaped a lot form this program. In the future, the school will continue to carry out short-term and long-term training and international academic conferences based on the platform of “China-ASEAN Smart Ocean Center”. It can promote the popularization and dissemination of China's marine education technology and culture, enhance the influence and penetration of China's marine culture and contribute to the construction of “The Belt and Road”.
