TJU Holds the 2018 Sino-Japan International Art Exchange Exhibition and the Training Exchange Group Opening Ceremony

On November 1, the 2018 Huayingchuandeng Sino-Japan International Art Exchange Exhibition and the Opening Ceremony of Training Exchange Group was held in the Art Gallery of the Wang Xuezhong Art Research Institute at Tianjin University. It is aimed at “strengthening engineering, enhancing science, revitalizing liberal arts, and promoting medicine” as well as building TJU into a Chinese styled, world-class comprehensive university.

More than sixty Chinese and Japanese scholars and TJU postgraduates attended the ceremony.

During the event, there were several special lectures on the origin, development and current creative Chinese and Japanese calligraphy and painting genres. Attendees also exchanged views on the works awarded prizes in the Exhibition and paid a visit to the Youth Art Exhibition held in the Tianjin Art Museum.

The Wang Xuezhong Art Research Institute is dedicated to providing a more effective teaching model for TJU’s art education and international cooperation in universities, promoting integration among TJU’s traditional preponderant disciplines, such as engineering and science, fine arts and pedagogy, and further promoting a healthy educational environment.
