Tianjin University Publish Paper on Teacher Learning

Recently, Dr. Zhang, Xiaolei, an associate professor at Tianjin University and Prof. Wong, Jocelyn, an associate professor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, have collaborated to publish a paper entitled “How do teachers learn together? A study of school-based teacher learning in China from the perspective of organisational learning” in the Social Sciences Citation Index journal, Teachers and Teaching. Dr. Zhang, Xiaolei worked as the primary author of the paper.

In this paper, the authors explore the dynamic processes of teacher learning in school-based settings. A qualitative comparative case study based on the framework of organisational learning was conducted to analyse the ways that teachers from two school-based communities in China, experienced learning through various learning activities. This work was supported by the Ministry of Education of China under the Young Fund for Social Sciences and Humanities [grant number 15YJC880135].

Teachers and Teaching is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research (The latest impact factor 2.38, ranking 36/238 in the field of Education & Educational Research). Xiaolei Zhang is an associate professor of Education at Tianjing University in China. Her work focuses on teacher development, curriculum and instruction, and educational reform. Jocelyn L. N. Wong is an associate professor of Education at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, SAR China. Her work focuses on teacher professional development, education policy, teacher training and school improvement, and qualitative research methodology.
