The Tianjin University Research Institute of Architectural Design & Urban Planning (AATU) participated in the “2018 China Tourism Industries Exposition·Tourism Innovation Exhibition” at the Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center (MJCEC) from November 9 to 11. Since 2009, ten Expositions have been held, attracting delegations from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across China and more than 80 countries and regions around the world and over 1.77 million visitors, which has won the admiration of the tourism industry. `

At the Expo, AATU demonstrated its achievements to visitors from all walks of life, especially its recent progress in tourism design and cultural heritage protection. With the theme of “Inheritance, Commitment and Future”, the exhibition covered a variety of projects, including the tourism layout of the AATU, cultural heritage protection, poverty alleviation planning, cultural and tourism architecture, building expo, and landscape architecture.  A total of 29 projects were exhibited, including not only classical architectural works like the Museum of the Sino-Japanese War, 1894-1895, and the China Bronze Ware Museum in Baoji, but also other representative works, such as the protection project of Beihai Park and Tuancheng city in Beijing, The Astor Hotel Tianjin Renovation Project, the ecological cultural tourist spot of Ranzhuang in Baoding, Hebei Province and the poverty alleviation aid to the designated regions of Tanchang, Gansu Province.

On November 11, the AATU participated in the wrap-up meeting and the exhibitors’ forum of the 2018 China Tourism Industries Exposition. It was selected as one of the 17 outstanding exhibitors and won the “Excellent Exhibition Booth Award” and made a speech as a representative of the excellent exhibitors.
