Fu Pingqing Named Associate Editor of Science of the Total Environment

Fu Pingqing, Ph.D, professor in the Institute of Surface-Earth System Science, was recently appointed to the editorial board of the journal Science of the Total Environment. He will serve as  Associate Editor and review submitted air pollution papers (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/science-of-the-total-environment/editorial-board/pingqing-fu). 

Science of the Total Environment (IF=4.610) is an international multi-disciplinary journal for publication of original research on the total environment, which includes the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, lithosphere, and anthroposphere. The journal is an international medium for the publication of research into those changes in the environment caused by man's activities. Specifically, it is concerned with the changes in the natural level and distribution of chemical elements and compounds which may affect the well-being of the living world, and ultimately harm man himself. Emphasis is given to applied environmental chemistry. 

Prof. Pingqing Fu’s recent research interests include the study of organics in atmospheric aerosols, rain, snow, cloud and fog waters at a molecular level as it relates to long-range transport, photochemical degradation, and climate change. He has authored and co-authored more than 130 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals. Prof. Fu won the Fund for Distinguished Young Scholar of NSFC in 2016 and has been a continuous holder of the grants from CAS and NSF of China. He is also the Associate Editor of npj Climate and Atmospheric Science.
