On November 24, 2018, the “Forum on Integration of Industry and Education in Vocational Schools” was held in the Zheng Dong Library, Tianjin University. Presidents, scholars and graduate students from vocational schools across the country attended the forum, amounting to more than 300 people.
The forum was divided into four parts: the opening ceremony and then three themed sessions. To open, Wang Shuxin, Vice President of Tianjin University, Yan Guangfen, Dean of the TJU School of Education and Lv Jingquan, a member of Tianjin Education Committee gave speeches on “the integration of Industry and Education in vocational schools”, “the importance of promoting the integration of Industry and Education in vocational schools” and “the exploration and practice of a Chinese style of vocational education at world level” respectively.
Gao Hong, Deputy Director of the Liaoning Education Research Institute hosted the second session. Zhou Fenghua from the Central Institute for Vocational and Technical Education spoke on “methods to achieve political targets for the integration of industry and education in vocational schools”, Chen Yan from Zhejiang University on “deepening the integration of Industry and Education: policy development and local monitoring” and Li Jianhua from Dezhou Vocational and Technical College emphasized the importance of strengthening the connection between schools and enterprises in his speech.
During the third session, Dai Yuwei from Tianjin Light Industry Vocational Technical College, gave his ideas on the transformation and updating of the service industry, Lu Chunyang from CECA, spoke on “the integration of Industry and Education and the accumulation of professional techniques” and Xu Hailong from the Liaocheng Vocational &Technical College, outlined the practice of the construction of secondary schools dominated by enterprise interests. To conclude, Pan Haisheng from the School of Education, Tianjin University shared his views on the trend toward the development of the integration of Industry and Education as well as the strategical choices in the age of intelligent technology.
