Tianjin University Awarded at Annual Meeting of Leaders of China MBA Alliance

On December 15th, the 12th Annual Meeting of Leaders of China MBA Alliance was solemnly opened in the Guiyang Convention Center. The annual meeting is directed by the National Graduate Education Steering Committee for Business Administration Degrees, hosted by the China MBA Alliance and Guizhou University (GZU), and co-hosted by the School of Management of GZU and the MBA Federation of GZU. With the theme of “Stirring Forty Years of Reform and Starting Again - Enterprising Spirit and High Quality Development in the New Era”, the conference set a precedent for the MBA entrepreneurship exhibition, presenting an audiovisual feast for MBA students throughout the country. Famous scholars, management experts, business leaders and MBA management elites with pragmatic attitudes from all over the country come together to think about the future of MBA education from a forward-looking perspective, hoping to strengthen entrepreneurship and achieve high-quality development. MBA alumni and postgraduates led by Qian Liu, a teacher from Student Affairs Office of MBA, College of Management and Economics (CoME), participated in the meeting.

Han-yu Li, vice-chairman of Guizhou CPPCC, chairman of the Guizhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, president of Guizhou General Chamber of Commerce, Guo-qiang Sun, former vice-Governor of Guizhou People's Government, vice-chairman of the CPPCC, honorary dean of School of Management of GZU, Hong-lei Wang, executive vice-president of GZU, Ye Li, dean of School of Management of GZU and Xian-qiang Li, chairman of the 13th China MBA Alliance, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

We proudly announce that the TJU MBA project has won the following eight awards in the meeting:

The TJU MBA project won the “Top Ten Characteristic Business Schools in China” ward;

Nan Feng, vice dean of CoME, won the “Excellent Leader of MBA Colleges in China” award;

Dong-lian Li, a teacher from the MBA Center, won the award of “Excellent Instructor of MBA in China”;

Tianjin-Hebei Alliance of MBA won the award of “China MBA Excellent Alliance”;

The MBA Federation of TJU won the award of “Top Ten MBA Union”;

Jian-chao Wang won the award of “Ten Major Contributions Award of China's MBA”;

Vice chairmen Mei Ding and Nan Qin won the award of “Excellent Chinese MBA Cadres”;

Secretary-general Zi-jun Xu and Hong-ze Chen won the award of “China's MBA Emergency”.

At the same time, Jian-chao Wang, an MBA student of TJU, was elected the president of the 14th China MBA Alliance, and the news that the next annual meeting of Leaders of China MBA Alliance would be held in Tianjin University was announced in the meeting.

Reportedly, Jian-chao Wang has devoted himself to the communication between TJU MBA students, and the interaction of Tianjin-Hebei Alliance in the last year. He led other members of the Federation and members of the Tianjin-Hebei Alliance to organize the TJU MBA new year’s party with the theme of “Peiyang in Four Seasons and Dreams Pioneering”, the first Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei MBA Open Badminton event and the 16th China MBA Entrepreneurship Competition North District Final in 2018. He was highly recognized by college leaders and MBA students in the alliance and was elected to the 14th Chairman of China MBA Alliance by virtue of his outstanding character, responsibility, outstanding performance and achievements.

The China MBA Alliance which is directed by the MBA Steering Committee of the Central Youth Entrepreneurs Association of China was established in 2006. And now, it has eight sub-alliances, namely, China's MBA Tianjin-Hebei Alliance, East China Alliance, South China Alliance, Central China Alliance, Northeast China Alliance, Northwest China Alliance, Southwest China Alliance and Beijing Alliance. The China MBA Alliance is a non-political and non-profit MBA joint organization spontaneously formed by various regional alliances and established for the purpose of guiding and coordinating the work of MBA alliances in all regions of the country to serve MBA groups and jointly improve the image of China MBA consistently. At present, 243 business schools in China have joined the China MBA Alliance, which is the most influential MBA student organization with the largest number of members.
